Deepening My Interior Life to Follow Christ Wherever He Leads
Adapted from spiritual formation offered to seminarians at St. John Vianney Seminary during their Spirituality Year, this series of classes on deepening spiritual formation is for the laity, ages 21 and up, who feel an active call from Christ to follow him more closely and serve him actively in their daily life circumstances. These classes are also ideal for those who exercise leadership in the Church but desire deeper relational life with God
This class is a follow-up class to the introductory class, God Within by Peter Stur
Class Structure
- Three (3) trimesters of 8 weeks each
- A typical class will have 1-hour of teaching and 30 minutes of small group discussion
- Weekly prayer prompts
Some of the topics covered:
- Stages of the spiritual life
- Praying the Mass instead of praying at Mass
- Blockages to prayer
- Discernment of spirits
- Spiritual deliverance
- Personal charisms

ABOUT THE TEACHER
A priest for the Archdiocese of Denver since 1988. For 10 years he was the Director of Spirituality Year at St. John Vianney Seminary and provided spiritual formation throughout all other years. He has been a pastor twice and is also active in prayer ministry. He has been released from parish work to serve the spiritual needs of the archdiocese and beyond by teaching for In Ipso.
